Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Manager to join a dynamic team based in Shannon Co. Clare. In this critical role, you will oversee and manage the portfolio of projects within the Product Development Department, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams to drive success.
Key Responsibilities
Process Management:
- Establish and implement a project management process covering the full lifecycle from concept to high-volume manufacturing. Ensure consistent application across all projects.
Project Planning:
- Create detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, resource needs, and deliverables for each initiative.
Resource Management:
- Develop processes and tools for tracking effort, estimating work, and planning resource allocation to balance demand versus capacity effectively.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, team members, and leadership to ensure alignment on objectives and priorities.
Risk Mitigation:
- Identify risks proactively and implement strategies to minimize disruptions.
Budget Oversight:
- Monitor project budgets, making necessary adjustments to meet financial goals.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure project deliverables adhere to established standards and requirements through robust quality control processes.
Communication:
- Facilitate transparent communication among stakeholders, keeping everyone aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
Reporting:
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership, highlighting progress, achievements, and challenges.
Continuous Improvement:
- Seek opportunities to optimize processes and implement best practices for greater efficiency.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and inspire project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
About You
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of proven programme or project management experience, ideally within electronics or high-volume manufacturing.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), tools (Microsoft Project, Jira), and an understanding of manufacturing environments.
Skills:
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. Capable of managing multiple projects and delivering in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications:
- Project Management qualifications are an advantage.
Personal Qualities:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of managing diverse stakeholders and fostering collaborative team dynamics.
