Our client is expanding and seeks a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join their Process Division Quantity Surveying Team in Cork. Reporting to the Commercial Manager and board of directors, the successful candidate will manage quantity surveying tasks for mechanical projects within a dynamic and growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage quantity surveying functions for mechanical projects.
- Work with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, manage costs, and prepare financial reports.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Analyze and interpret construction contracts and methods of measurement.
Key Skills:
- Relevant third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a mechanical contracting environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical services and life sciences sector experience is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, IT, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
