Our clients are seeking a Mechanical QA Engineer to oversee quality control processes for Datacentre projects in Gavle, Sweden. Reporting to the Operations Director, the role is responsible for executing QAQC activities and ensuring compliance during all stages of commissioning (level 1 & 2). The successful candidate will collaborate closely with general contractors and project teams to ensure quality standards are upheld across all mechanical systems and installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead quality assurance activities across multiple projects, coordinating inspections and ensuring compliance.
- Manage and conduct QAQC walkdowns for mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, and plumbing.
- Oversee the preparation and completion of test packs, including witnessing pressure tests.
- Ensure accurate documentation of inspections and commissioning activities.
- Provide weekly performance and progress reports related to QAQC.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure snag-free project delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mechanical quality control.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Degree or trade qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in mechanical QAQC, with 5 years in a lead role.
- Strong knowledge of piping, HVAC systems, and industrial project environments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in client-facing roles.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in mechanical inspection and commissioning practices.
