Position: Electrical QA Manager

Location: Winschoten, The Netherlands

 

Job Description

As an Electrical QA Manager, you'll oversee the Electrical Quality Management System and lead quality assurance across projects, ensuring client specifications and internal standards are met.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the quality management process across projects using a Right First Timeapproach, including delivering training, conducting quality toolbox talks, and ensuring compliance with quality management standards.
  • Supervise the quality team, including Field QA personnel, Test Pack Engineers, NDT specialists, and Commissioning Supervisors.
  • Oversee project-specific databases to ensure accurate handover documentation to clients.
  • Review benchmarks and manage 'First of a Kind' installations.
  • Develop system and equipment test packs in collaboration with project teams.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure proper handover documentation and system tagging are completed.
  • Coordinate with construction teams to manage handover schedules, walkdowns, and snag lists.
  • Monitor snag trends and address issues through collaboration with construction teams.
  • Ensure installations comply with project-specific quality plans, standards, design specifications, and expectations.
  • Supervise third-party inspections and contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct regular site quality audits to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Participate in quality meetings with management and subcontractors, providing detailed reports on quality issues.
  • Travel may be required to support site activities in Ireland and across Europe.

 

Skills and Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • An electrical trade background is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in a similar role, with strong knowledge of electrical systems and schematics.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Quality Management Software.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
