Primary Objective

Under the guidance of the Regional Manager, the Branch Manager is responsible for managing daily branch operations. This position requires creating and executing a business plan to meet branch revenue, sales, and service targets.

Knowledge & Experience Required

  • Management Background: Prior management experience is crucial.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the hardwoods, softwoods, and sheet materials industry.
  • Client Relations: Proven experience working with joinery manufacturers and specifiers.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Educational Background: A degree in a commercial discipline is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Lead the sales team to provide excellent customer service both in person and via phone.
  • Accounting and Technology: Basic understanding of accounting and computer operations.
  • Sales Collaboration: Work with sales representatives to set monthly growth targets and development goals.
  • Branch Development: Assist the Regional Director in driving branch growth and maintaining service excellence.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay informed about client and competitor products/services to maximize sales.
  • Performance Metrics: Enhance branch performance across key metrics.
  • Operational Support: Perform customer service tasks as needed to manage branch operations efficiently.
  • Leadership: Promote a culture of continuous improvement through performance coaching and leadership.
  • Store Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised store environment.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Administration: Manage branch administration effectively.
