Principle Objective
As a Sales Representative with our client, you will be responsible for generating building material sales, managing customer relationships, and overseeing construction-related activity with key customers within a designated geographical area to achieve company objectives.
Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum of two years’ proven sales experience in building materials or a related role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of building material products, including existing and upcoming options.
- Proven track record in dealing with building contractors and specifiers.
- A third-level qualification in construction or business is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with key strategic customers and contractors to maximize market advantage.
- Promote the company’s building material products and services through regular customer visits and contact.
- Upsell additional brands and services as applicable.
- Prepare quotations for customers.
- Develop account plans to meet sales targets and strengthen customer relationships.
- Ensure adherence to payment terms as per customer contracts.
- Oversee commercial management of project activity, ensuring collaboration and commitment from technical resources.
- Contribute to company goals by working cross-functionally and delivering on commitments.
- Maintain and report on commercial administration systems, including:
- Planning and recording customer visits.
- Enriching the customer database with field-collected sales information.
- Ensuring safety for self and others.
- Managing debt and addressing product or service claims per company guidelines.
