Job Overview:

- Provides direct, professional nursing care to specify population of patients in an inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Prepares and presents shift endorsements.
- Assesses and reassesses patients according to policy.
- Oriented and familiar about Checking crash cart and defibrillator
- Attends patients' rounds and attends to doctor's needs for patient care.
- Carry out all doctors' orders.
- Accurately transcribe medication orders into medication record
- Check all patient medical records and see to it that all are updated, orders are carried out and complete documentation.
- Vital Signs being done and documented
- Prepares chart for preoperative and pre procedure requirements.
- Calls doctors to follow up questions and problems.
- Ensures medication ordered and obtained from pharmacy.
- Gets updates on the assigned patient condition, sees if help is needed.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient records
- Respects and supports patient rights.
- Team responsibilities- Demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to facilitate the unit function, productivity, and efficiency.
- Supervises nursing aids/ health care assistants in the shift.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
- Team player: Responsible to maintain team spirit and professional communication inside her/his unit.
- Trainer and educator: Work as preceptor in his/her unit to orient and train new employee.
- Language capabilities: Efficient in reporting written communication and documentation.
- Actively participates in accreditation processes and compliance to standards to ensure patient safety
To be considered for this role, you must have one of the following qualifications:
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing/ Nursing Diploma.
- Valid license in country of origin
- Valid Registration as Nurse Specialist/ Technician in Saudi Council for Health Specialties.
Professional Experience
- At least 2 years' experience in clinical setting
Specialized Knowledges:
- BLS is a must. ACLS, PALS, or NRP based on departmental allocation.
- Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
- Knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
- Ability to plan the care for individualized patients, implements interventions and actions, and evaluate individual patient care outcome and programs including patient/ family education.
- Knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements and standards.
- Knowledge of clinical and/or surgical facilities, instruments, and equipment.
- Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
- Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids.
- Ability to draw intravenous and peripheral blood.
- Knowledge of patient evaluation
