Our client is currently hiring a Project Quantity Surveyor to support commercial operations across designated construction projects. You will be involved in cost management, reporting, and contract administration, ensuring that commercial goals are delivered in line with company expectations. You will work under the guidance of a Contracts Manager or Senior QS.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all commercial and cost-related duties across assigned projects
  • Handle procurement, measurement, valuation, and the preparation of interim and final accounts
  • Monitor and track variations, ensuring all changes are documented and processed accurately
  • Maintain project cost records and ensure timely reporting of financial performance
  • Prepare subcontractor payment recommendations
  • Liaise closely with project teams to align site activities with budgetary planning
  • Monitor commercial strategies and ensure compliance with company procedures

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification
  • Postgraduate experience in a construction-related QS role
  • Solid understanding of construction methods and technical details
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with Cubit or Buildsoft is a plus
  • Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a larger team
