Our client is currently seeking a proactive Project Manager to oversee the full delivery cycle of construction projects. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, this role involves leading teams and subcontractors to ensure project execution aligns with key timelines, financial targets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Site Operations
- Lead daily site activities and supervise trades and subcontractors
- Monitor site progress and labour force performance to maintain productivity and efficiency
- Ensure teams are working in line with project scope and agreed milestones
Safety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce safe work practices with guidance from the EHS advisor and site management team
- Verify that subcontractor activities align with approved risk assessments and method statements
- Host daily safety talks and coordinate safe interface between multiple trades
- Report incidents in accordance with the organisation’s safety procedures
- Maintain safe site standards and cleanliness across the board
- Draft and maintain risk assessments and method statements where applicable
Engineering & Quality
- Supervise engineering teams to ensure timely setting-out and survey support
- Manage and resolve technical queries or unforeseen issues during construction
- Work closely with site engineers and coordinators to provide timely information to trades and vendors
- Make sure subcontractors adhere to approved testing and inspection procedures
- Keep request for information (RFI) and submittal logs current and well-managed
- Deliver a finished product that meets or exceeds client expectations
Team Coordination & Project Control
- Act as the primary contact for designers, consultants, and client reps on site
- Collaborate with QS, planners, and subcontractors to ensure consistent communication and coordination
- Review procurement requests for plant and materials in line with schedule requirements
- Assist in developing and updating programmes in conjunction with the planner and Contracts Manager
- Keep accurate records of site resource use, including plant, labour, and materials
- Ensure company equipment is well maintained and fit for purpose
- Represent the company in a professional manner, maintaining a positive presence on-site
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Degree or qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar discipline
- At least 7 years of experience in a construction project management capacity
- Familiarity with public works contracts, RIAI, and related contractual frameworks
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills with a structured problem-solving approach
- Competency in reviewing scopes, interpreting contract requirements, and reporting
- Prior leadership experience with junior engineering or site teams
- Working knowledge of BIM workflows and digital project delivery tools
- Tech-savvy with innovative thinking and excellent time management skills
- Able to foster collaborative relationships across clients, contractors, and internal teams
