Elite Talent Hub LTD is a specialist in permanent staffing solutions for clients Nationwide.

Our client is seeking to recruit a permanent Process Engineer to be based in Limerick within the Backend Fabrication Engineering group. This individual will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing processes through process/equipment control, toolset qualification, and continuous improvement. The role will also involve collaboration with development teams to enhance wafer-level capabilities and transfer new processes from sister sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical contributor by driving continuous improvement for existing manufacturing processes, layers, and tools, collaborating closely with equipment and manufacturing groups.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for yield issues, equipment downtime, and process excursions, implementing corrective actions and robust solutions.
  • Partner with development teams to define and develop new wafer-level capabilities.
  • Establish clear standards for methods of equipment and/or process work among shift personnel and engineering groups, working with equipment shift supervisors.
  • Periodically review key metrics for safety, quality, output, and cost efficiency on equipment and processes, driving improvement initiatives.
  • Stay updated on key technology changes and developments in equipment platforms within the designated area.
  • Manage capital acquisition, including tool selection, installation, and qualification for new or existing technologies.
  • Ensure safe practices are followed across toolsets.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Applied Physics, Electronics, Materials, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Strong working knowledge of plasma etch physics as used in the semiconductor industry.
  • Direct experience in one or more of the following: Poly silicon etch, Dielectric etch, Metal/thin film etch, Novellus Deposition, SACVD deposition, WDep, Producer, Endura, CVC, HDP.
  • At least 3 years’ hands-on experience in a processing engineering role related to plasma etch technology.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Data-driven approach with the ability to apply scientific theories and engineering concepts.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
