Elite Talent Hub LTD is a specialist in permanent staffing solutions for clients globally.

We are recruiting a successful candidate to oversee the effective management of people-related operations at our client's site in Waterford, ensuring alignment with the Regional Operations Plan and adherence to HR policies and procedures. This role involves providing leadership to the clerical team, fostering a collaborative environment, and laying the groundwork for a positive, engaging workplace culture.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workforce Planning:
    • Develop a thorough understanding of Waterford's service delivery needs and ensure workforce plans are effectively managed to meet these demands.
    • Collaborate with central and local HR teams on recruitment and selection to maintain workforce requirements.
  • Driver Availability Management:
    • Proactively manage driver availability, including attendance and both planned and unplanned absences, to meet service delivery goals.
    • Ensure adherence to attendance management processes, including conducting "Return to Work" interviews.
  • Employee Engagement Leadership:
    • Take a proactive role in implementing the employee engagement strategy, focusing on initiatives that contribute to a positive workplace.
    • Champion programs like GEMS, "Have Your Say," and "Bright Ideas" to encourage employee participation and recognition.
  • Employee and Disciplinary Matters:
    • As a subject matter expert, ensure that all employee-related and disciplinary issues are handled transparently and fairly, following agreed procedures.
  • Change Management:
    • Identify and lead opportunities for operational improvements, including technological upgrades, process enhancements, and team performance initiatives.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Implement an open-door policy to address employee concerns promptly and fairly, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Performance Management:
    • Exhibit strong leadership in performance management by maintaining fairness and consistency in discussions (e.g., GPS reviews) with direct reports.
    • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, provide timely feedback, and support employees in achieving success.
    • Manage the probation process for new employees, including drivers, in accordance with policy.
  • Budget and Expenditure Oversight:
    • Ensure all expenditures, including overtime, are closely monitored and remain within budget, with proper approval processes in place.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in HR or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 + years of Operations HR experience
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant HR policies and procedures, with an ability to stay up-to-date on changes in employment relations and industrial relations.
