Our client is seeking a capable and driven M&E Coordinator to support the delivery of mechanical and electrical packages on large-scale construction projects. Working closely with Contracts and Project Managers, you will help manage subcontractor performance, design team collaboration, and ensure quality and safety compliance throughout project lifecycles.
Main Responsibilities:
Project Coordination & Support
- Collaborate with Contracts and Project Managers to ensure seamless M&E integration on projects ranging from €3m to €20m
- Serve as the primary contact for mechanical and electrical subcontractors and consultants
- Organise and document regular coordination meetings with M&E teams and the design team
- Review and manage RFIs, submittals, and keep logs updated
- Track commissioning progress with a focus on life-safety and critical systems
- Conduct snagging inspections using digital tools and ensure timely resolution
Design & Technical Oversight
- Coordinate M&E systems within the structure, including clash-free BIM integration
- Prepare installation and builders works drawings as needed
- Monitor compliance with design responsibilities and contractual obligations
- Ensure all inspections are completed and recorded for BCAR sign-off
- Support the collection of required documentation for handover, O&M manuals, and safety files
Safety Management
- Oversee safe execution of M&E works on-site in collaboration with site safety leads
- Ensure all high-risk systems are fully operational before handover
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety procedures, method statements, and risk assessments
- Assist in promoting and maintaining a Zero Harm culture across all operations
Technical Insight & Quality Assurance
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of building services including:
- HVAC
- Fire detection systems
- General and emergency lighting
- Gas and heating (LTHW) with BMS integration
- Electrical distribution systems
- Commissioning of complete building systems
- Verify that materials and workmanship meet project standards and specifications
- Coordinate inspection and testing sign-offs and ensure timely issue resolution
Stakeholder Communication & Planning
- Act as liaison between site personnel, engineers, subcontractors, and consultants
- Support the Site and Contracts Managers in aligning site activity with programme milestones
- Raise risks to programme and contribute to revised planning where needed
- Represent the company professionally and uphold a high standard of conduct on all sites
Candidate Profile:
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field)
- Experience working with a main contractor preferred
- Strong understanding of M&E systems and building services integration
- Proficient with coordination tools (e.g., BIM), digital snagging, and inspection platforms
- Willingness to travel between regional project sites
- Full clean driving license required
