Our client is seeking an Inventory Controller for their Sligo branch. This role is essential for efficient stock management, maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing replenishment processes, and supporting overall operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound and outbound stock transactions in line with established inventory procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of goods received and dispatched.
- Ensure supplier stock levels align with replenishment needs, adjusting for seasonality and project demands.
- Assist in optimizing stock holding while maintaining high customer service levels.
- Conduct continuous cycle counts and scheduled stock takes to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Liaise with finance teams for monthly and annual inventory reporting.
- Handle customer and supplier queries related to deliveries and supply, coordinating with credit control and accounts payable as needed.
- Produce reports on inventory statistics, stock loss, and unusual movement trends.
- Monitor and address slow-moving or obsolete stock.
- Collaborate with internal audit teams to enhance inventory control processes.
- Work with inventory management systems to maintain and improve stock efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience in stock management, preferably in an inventory control role.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, DIY, and plumbing materials.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in IT and inventory management systems.
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze stock trends.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, customers, and team members.
