Our client are a well-established engineering firm with over 40 years of experience, specializing in the design and construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities. They work closely with clients to upgrade existing infrastructure and develop new treatment plants, and they are now seeking a Civil Engineer to support the successful delivery of water and wastewater projects across Ireland. This role involves overseeing the construction, commissioning, and handover phases to ensure smooth project execution. The position is based in Limerick, with nationwide travel required.
Key Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager in delivering projects efficiently and on schedule.

Oversee procurement to ensure timely project delivery.

Manage subcontractors and coordinate site activities.

Prepare and review Health & Safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.

Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and safety audits.

Handle document control and ensure accurate distribution of project information.

Address technical queries and liaise with design and site teams.

Perform site surveying, setting out, and quality assurance checks.

Support project progress reporting for clients.

Compile Operations & Maintenance manuals and safety documentation for handover.
Key Skills & Requirements

Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.

Proficiency in AutoCAD is desirable.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple aspects of a project efficiently.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Experience in project coordination or engineering (preferred but not essential).

Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and documentation.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
