As our client’s Café Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the day-to-day operations , ensuring it runs smoothly, profitably, and with heart.
You'll lead a passionate team and maintain the highest standards in service, food safety, and team culture.
Your Core Responsibilities
Financial Ownership
- Take full ownership of the P&L – drive revenue, manage costs, and hit profitability targets
- Track and report key metrics weekly (labour %, wastage, stock levels, sales performance)
- Forecast sales and adjust staffing or stock accordingly
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily café operations, from morning open to evening close
- Manage food and beverage preparation standards (we’re health-forward but indulgent too)
- Ensure compliance with all HACCP requirements and maintain immaculate hygiene standards
- Lead all aspects of stock control: ordering, receiving, rotation, waste management
- Maintain and optimise workflows behind the counter and in the kitchen for efficiency
Team & Culture
- Lead, motivate, and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service
- Create and manage rosters aligned to business needs while respecting work-life balance
- Train team members in customer service, product knowledge, and operations
- Maintain a warm, high-performance culture where everyone takes pride in the brand
Strategic Mindset
- Think beyond the day-to-day — spot trends, recommend improvements, and feed into new ideas
- Help build systems that will scale as we grow to 15+ sites
- Get involved in new product testing, launches, and marketing ideas
Customer Experience
- Be the face of our Client’s business – approachable, engaged, and always delivering a 5-star experience
- Handle customer feedback with grace and turn any issues into brand-building moments
We’re Looking for Someone Who...
- Has 2+ years of experience managing a busy café or food retail business
- Can confidently manage a P&L and understands how to drive profitability
- Thrives in both the kitchen and front-of-house environments
- Is HACCP-certified and understands food safety regulations inside out
- Leads from the front – hands-on, people-first, and solution-oriented
- Is passionate about customer service and creating a standout café experience
- Is highly organised, proactive, and cool under pressure
- Has an entrepreneurial spirit and wants to grow with a brand that’s going places
