Our client is seeking a highly skilled Building Materials Assistant Manager to lead and coordinate operational activities at their Naas, Co. Kildare location. This role focuses on enhancing efficiency, optimizing processes, and driving continuous improvement to elevate productivity and customer satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight:

  • Lead and direct operations teams across locations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.

 

Process Optimization:

  • Streamline operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Implement best practices for consistency and quality.
  • Explore automation and technology solutions for operational improvement.

 

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics for timely stock replenishment.
  • Implement systems to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.

 

Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and develop operations staff.
  • Provide coaching and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Promote collaboration across departments.

 

Sales Management:

  • Work with the sales team to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Optimize sales processes for superior service delivery.

 

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Implement safety protocols to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Conduct audits to address risks and hazards.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or Supply Chain (preferred but not essential).
  • Proven experience in operations management, ideally in wholesale or distribution.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
