Transport Coordinator Balbriggan

Our Client is looking to hire a Transport Coordinator for our clients Balbriggan branch. The role involves planning and managing delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to our clients customers. This position offers a great chance for the right candidate to enhance their skills and experience within our clients industry. Your contributions will be crucial to their ongoing success and customer satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily transport operations in the branch.
  • Coordinate and schedule multiple deliveries for the branch’s four lorries.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient transport of goods in compliance with operational procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Manage the receipt and verification of goods from suppliers.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and administrative tasks.
  • Download and manage Digital Tachographs for drivers.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced working environment.

 

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in transport, logistics, or warehousing operations.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with logical thinking.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a customer-facing role, providing high standards of service and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT literacy.
  • Knowledge of Digital Tachographs and transport legislation.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the area.
  • General knowledge of building/timber materials or a willingness to learn.

Salary:      €40k - €42k DOE

Hours:

  • Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 5.00pm
  • Friday 7.30am 4.00pm
  • Saturday 8.00am – 12.30pm (1 on 2 off rota)
