We are currently working with a prominent Main Contractor who are working on healthcare project based in Co. Wicklow.
Our client are on the lookout for a Setting Out Engineer, you will oversee the accurate layout and coordination of the construction site, ensuring all work aligns with the project specifications. This role is well-suited for engineers who are hands-on, enjoy problem-solving, and are excited about contributing to the healthcare sector through infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the layout and setup of various construction activities, including foundations, utilities, and essential systems.
- Interpreting and applying architectural and engineering plans to guarantee precision in all aspects of construction.
- Collaborating with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
- Conducting site inspections to verify quality and safety
- Using state-of-the-art surveying tools like GPS and total stations to ensure exact measurements and layouts.
- Keeping detailed records of site activities and measurements for reporting and compliance purposes.
- Ensuring all on-site activities adhere to strict health and safety guidelines, especially in a healthcare environment.
Key Skills
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in site engineering or a related field
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in modern surveying technology, including GPS and total station equipment.
- Strong ability to read and implement detailed project plans and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Full driving license
