​Our client, a leading pharmaceutical firm in Europe, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Operations Manager to oversee and optimize their operational processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, managing supply chains, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a proactive leader with extensive experience in operations management within the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily operations, including production, quality control, logistics, and supply chain management.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, GMP standards, and internal policies.

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.

Supply Chain and Logistics:

  • Manage end-to-end supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers.

  • Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers and distribution centers.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements across all operations.

  • Oversee quality control processes, including inspections, audits, and corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and resolve quality issues.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the department.

  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs for team members.

Budget and Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

  • Monitor financial performance, analyze operational costs, and implement cost-saving measures.

  • Provide regular reports and updates to the COO and executive team on operational performance and forecasts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Proven track record of optimizing operations, managing supply chains, and driving process improvements.

  • Strong knowledge of GMP regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems, supply chain management software, and advanced Excel skills.
