Job Description:
Our client is a leading mechanical engineering company working in the Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage industries across Ireland. They work with leading multinationals like Pfizer, Glanbia and Diageo. Due to their continued growth, they are seeking both senior and junior mechanical quantity surveyors to join their capable team of professionals.
The quantity surveyor will be tasked with analysing existing budgets and making improvements, reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates, negotiating with various contractors and vendors, as well as building relationships with clients and site managers.
Primary
- Reviewing Drawings and documents of projects to be tendered
- Take-off of projects for tendering
- Review of plant quotations
- Entering take-offs and plant on Estimation
- Compiling and issuing of Tender Supporting documents
- Liaising with external estimators as required
- Investigate Value Engineering where applicable
- Attend site visits and client meetings as required
Supporting
- Maintain WIP List
- Set-up files and put on server
- Output drawings & documents for tenders
- Set-up summaries on estimation
- Send out quotation requests
- Send out the necessary tender documents to external estimators
- Fill and send forms of tenders
- Filing of soft copy/hard copy of tenders
- Update estimation for new products
- Update estimation pricing as requested
