Our client has many years of experience providing Telecommunications Installations Services within the Data Centre, Transportation, Utility Providers, Civil and Construction Sectors. Our client has worked on most of the largest Telecommunication, Data Centre, and Fibre Optic projects of recent times across Europe.

Job description

The Project Manager will work in various datacentre projects in Milan and may have to travel to other sites in Italy from time to time. You will help support the commissioning of regional projects. The role will require the knowledge of installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic cables, which are crucial for high-speed data transmission and communication infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and performance of telecom networks, internet connections, and various other communication systems that depend on fiber optic technology.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning:

Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Assess project scope and objectives, ensuring alignment with client needs

2. Team Coordination:

Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.

Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.

3. Resource Management:

Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment needed for fibre optic installations.

Monitor the allocation of resources to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

4. Quality Assurance:

Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on installations.

5. Client Relations:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns or feedback.

Prepare and present project updates to clients and stakeholders.

6. Documentation:

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, and reports.

Ensure all project-related records are organized and accessible.

Languages

Fluency in Italian and reasonably good English is necessary, and knowledge of additional languages can be a plus

Qualifications

• You must have one of the following university qualifications:
• All five-year master's degrees (laurea quinquennale) in engineering, architecture or physics under current university regulations
• University diplomas (diploma universitario) in electrical engineering or telecommunications engineering under previous university regulations
• Three-year undergraduate bachelor’s degrees (laurea triennale) in information engineering (degree class 09 under Ministerial Decree 509/1999 or degree class L8 under Ministerial Decree 270/2004)
