Plumbing Sales Advisor

Our client, a leading supplier of hardware, steel, and plumbing materials, seeks a Plumbing Sales Advisor to join their Cork team. With over a century of experience, the company is known for quality, service, and a committed team delivering excellent customer care.

The role focuses on building strong customer relationships, assisting at the trade counter, and processing orders via email and phone. This hands-on position requires exceptional service skills, attention to detail, and effective teamwork.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5

Contract: Fulltime Permanent

Responsibilities

• Actively engage with customers to deliver an exceptional experience and high levels of satisfaction.
• Provide prompt and friendly assistance to customers at the trade counter and collection areas.
• Act as a knowledgeable resource on products and services, offering expert guidance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the best outcomes for customers.
• Resolve customer issues efficiently and professionally.
• Accurately process sales and returns using the company’s computer systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in trade counter and “front of house” areas.
• Stay informed about new product lines and updates.
• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Undertake additional tasks as required by management.

Requirements

• Knowledge of plumbing products is highly advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow tasks through to completion.
• Enthusiasm for learning about the company’s product range and services.
• Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• IT literacy.
• Fluency in English.
