Mechanical QAQC Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical QAQC Manager to oversee the quality assurance and quality control scope for multiple concurrent projects in Gavle, Sweden. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this role is client-facing and will be responsible for managing all quality-related aspects, including QAQC and level 1 & 2 commissioning works. The successful candidate will lead the project team and promote a collaborative, inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the delivery of the quality scope of work across multiple industrial projects.
• Coordinate and manage QAQC walkdowns, quality control for systems, and commissioning tagging walks.
• Oversee the preparation of test packs, witness pressure testing, and ensure all relevant inspection documentation is completed for piping, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Weekly reporting on QAQC performance, troubleshooting, and managing walkdown schedules to ensure minimal snags.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and construction teams to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Present specification requirements to the project team and demonstrate compliance.

Skills and Requirements:

• Academic or trade qualification in a mechanical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Mechanical QAQC, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Industrial and process project experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of piping and HVAC systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in client-facing roles.
• Ability to work efficiently with the project team to maintain high-quality standards.
