Our Client are one of Europes largest M&E Contractors and have an expanding pipeline of projects across Ireland & Europe. They are currently seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join them on a for a large scale Battery Storage Facility project in Skelleftea, Sweden. Reporting to the Project Director, the successful candidate will have full ownership of Electrical package.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and stakeholders to define project requirements.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as Electrical Engineering and Fire Protection, for smooth project execution.
- Prepare and revise technical drawings, specifications, and documents using BIM tools.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards during the design phase.
- Source materials, equipment, and components needed for project implementation.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and manage procurement to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
- Oversee construction and installation phases, providing technical guidance on-site.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Address technical challenges promptly with effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports and change orders.
- Prepare technical reports for clients and management.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in the engineering services industry with successful project delivery.
- Strong technical proficiency in mechanical engineering principles and design tools.
- Familiarity with BIM and other engineering technologies.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team and stakeholder collaboration.
- Understanding of relevant mechanical engineering codes, regulations, and safety standards.
