Our Client are one of Europes largest M&E Contractors and have an expanding pipeline of projects across Ireland & Europe. They are currently seeking a Mechanical Construction Manager for a large scale Industrial project in Sweden.
You will be central in overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion. You will review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs, while overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to determine project schedule needs, provide support in the completion of project schedule, 12 weeks look aheads, reporting on site progress and highlighting future issues / roadblocks to progress to Main Contractor / Companies contracts manager.
- Conduct regular safety walks of the site and report to site supervisor for closure.
- Conduct regular quality walks of the site and report to site supervisor for closure.
- Lead commissioning activities ensuring timely completion and reporting of roadblock and follow up to ensure prompt closure.
Key Skills:
- Mechanical trade or Engineering background essential
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Experience working with any of the following materials and jointing methods also an advantage:
- PVC, PVDF, PP, S/S, C/S, orbital and tig welding and fusion jointing
- Excellent communication and organisation skills required
- Excellent IT skills required – MS Office/Excel
- A knowledge of database systems such as filemaker would be advantageous
