Hire Fitter/Driver - Ballysimon, Co. Limerick
Primary Objective
Collaborate with the Hire Department Manager at our clients Ballysimon branch to deliver excellent customer service and maintain high work standards.
Knowledge & Experience
- Extensive product knowledge and experience in the hire industry
- Fitter skills
- Rigid driving experience with Category C license
- CPC License
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and service large plant items like mini excavators, mini dumpers, road compressors, and vibrating rollers
- Maintain and service small plant items like cement mixers, concrete power floats, plate compactors, and poker vibrators
- Maintain and service electrical tools such as angle grinders, circular saws, hammer drills, breakers, and sanders
- Maintain and service engine types, including Honda 4-stroke petrol, small diesel engines, and Makita/Husqvarna 2-stroke petrol
Additional Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of the hire department
- Conduct on-site repairs and manage breakdowns
- Adhere to safety standards and practices
- Test and run small fleet items (PAT testing)
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs on small tools
- Protect company assets
- Implement company policies effectively
- Ensure the safety of staff and customers
- Maintain the hire workshop
- Assist with customer sales and service
- Manage vehicle health and safety
- Oversee taco graph management
- Deliver and collect stock for customers
- Provide thorough demonstrations on safe equipment use
Contract Type
Permanent, Full-Time (39 hours per week)
Monday to Friday, with possible Saturday shifts
Location: Ballysimon, Co. Limerick
