We are recruiting a Finance Commercial Manager who will report directly to the Head of Business Operations Control. This pivotal role focuses on preparing and analysing financial revenue reports to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational objectives. A key priority is the continuous monitoring and evaluation of the commercial profitability of multiple contracts, ensuring performance aligns with strategic goals and is delivered within specified timelines.

 

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of periodic road passenger revenue reports.

Deliverables:

  • Conduct detailed analyses of Expressway revenue, breaking it down by metrics such as trip type, kilometres, product, and ticket category.
  • Develop expertise in all revenue, fares, and ticketing aspects while understanding the integration of these elements within financial systems.
  • Examine and interrogate data to identify and explain movements and variances.
  • Analyse passenger yields for Expressway services, focusing on revenue optimization for both existing and new routes.
  • Ensure the business incorporates accurate DSP (Direct Support Payment) revenue amounts for each reporting period.
  • Gain proficiency in all aspects of the uplift process for DSP and Non-DSP tickets and passenger data.
  • Achieve a comprehensive understanding of the connections between ticketing systems and SAP to ensure periodic revenue completeness.
  • Collaborate with teams during ticket classification or product changes to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Prepare all required journal entries related to revenue for period-end reporting.

 

Commercial Business Support:

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to optimize the performance of key commercial contracts.

Deliverables:

  • Analyse critical data to maximize profitability for contracts and commercial products.
  • Partner with the Business Development Team, offering financial insights on commercial products, including periodic commentary on movements and variances.
  • Assist in benchmarking commercial costs and revenues against industry standards.

 

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in a finance environment as a qualified accountant, with a strong foundation in commercial and business awareness.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, with a focus on driving business outcomes in prior roles.
  • Proven ability in analytical decision-making, with a successful track record of achieving and exceeding objectives.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience in effectively communicating complex information to internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Highly skilled in handling confidential and time-sensitive information, showcasing exceptional numeric accuracy, attention to detail, and reliability.
