Our client, a leading supplier of products and services to the Irish Petroleum Industry have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Technician to join their growing team on a full-time permanent basis. This role will be mainly covering the South Dublin, Wicklow and Wexford region and would be ideally suited to someone who is based within one of these locations.

 

The Role: Field Service Technician

Location: South Dublin, Wicklow & Wexford

Reporting to: Field Supervisor

 

Principal Objectives:

  • Service and repairs to range of fuel pumps/tank gauges etc.
  • Service and repairs to POS systems.
  • Service and repairs to Karcher Industrial car wash systems.
  • Service and repairs to range of EV charging equipment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out measure verification after component change.
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance checks on sites.
  • Assist with installation of new equipment.
  • Assist with servicing, troubleshooting and repair of customer wash system equipment.
  • Carry out a variety of project work within the service department.
  • Adhere to company and regulatory H&S procedures and policies at all times.
  • Attend training courses as workload dictates.
  • Maintain high levels of personal professionalism in a customer facing role.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Miscellaneous tasks as required by managers/supervisors.

 

Skills & Abilities Required:

  • 3rd Level Qualification Higher Certificate and/or Trade Qualification (or equivalent).
  • Electrical/Mechanical/Engineering qualifications desirable but not essential.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical skills and experience in the use of a range of hand tools.
  • Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to prioritise issues based on business urgency.
  • Flexible approach to the working day that will involve travelling and some overtime.
  • Ability to work as part of a small team and on own initiative.
  • Full Clean manual driving licence.
  • Strong customer service skills with ability to interact confidently and professionally with end customer.
  • Good communication skills.
