Our client is seeking an Estimator responsible for supporting tender submissions and overseeing project pricing for high-value bids. The Estimator will work directly with the Commercial Manager and the Projects Department to ensure competitive and accurate bids. This position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing competitive tenders for large-scale fire protection projects.
- Review tender documents and contracts to ensure compliance with client requirements.
- Work with suppliers to gather accurate pricing and meet project specifications.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align tenders with project scopes.
- Help improve estimation processes for greater accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of tenders, estimates, and related correspondence for future use.
Reporting to: Commercial Manager
Hours: 37hrs per week
Days: Monday to Friday
Essential Criteria
- At least 3 years of experience in an Estimator role within Fire Protection, MEP, or Construction sectors.
- Knowledge of Fire Protection systems.
- Strong communication skills for client and internal interactions.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Attention to detail in reviewing documents and preparing cost estimates.
- Ability to assess risks and suggest solutions during the tendering process.
