The Senior Director of Finance will play a key role in leading the company’s efforts located in Shannon, Co Clare to grow the business, while managing costs to ensure sustainable success. A seasoned leader with extensive financial and business experience, the incumbent will have extensive strategic experience and provide leadership, governance and executive leadership to the finance function throughout Europe.
Provide financial, analytical and strategic support to the business. Ongoing performance management- revenue, pricing, costs, margin and cashflow. Review underlying trends, assisting with target setting, advising on right pricing strategy and communicating current/future positions to Executive Leadership Team.
Oversee the preparation, analysis and presentation of monthly financial reports on a timely basis and report financial results and issues to the CFO..
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure ensuring that policies and procedures conform with GAAP Principles
General accounting including GL analysis, GL support and Journal Entry preparation.
Make recommendations to the CFO for developing and maintaining accounting principles and improved practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Serve as the primary liaison with the Company Auditors to ensure the annual audit is completed smoothly and in a timely manner and to ensure audits are managed professionally.
Minimum Requirements:
• Qualified Accountant
• Corporate accounting experience with at least 10 years leadership/supervisory experience or more
• Ability to work within a high velocity, autonomous and demanding culture
• Solid oral and written communication, technology, and analytical skills
• Understanding and proficiency with account reconciliations, month end close, maintaining the GL, and budgets and forecasting
