Country IS Manager- Riyadh

  • IS Delivery - Facilitates the implementation IS Strategies and Architecture within relevant area of responsibility.
  • Analyzes, makes recommendations, and delivers specific systems or projects leading to improved efficiency, effectiveness, quality and/or operational functionality within the area of responsibility, within the agreed budget, and in line with business needs.
  • Works with global & local IS teams to secure delivery of projects & services as per the agreed objectives (ie cost, timeline, architecture, SLAs...).
  • Leverages core & common non-ERP applications and services in line with global strategy and architecture.
  • Supports distinct non-ERP application and services as requested by local business.
  • Ensures delivery of local and global IS services to business stakeholders in the given geography, including local requirements if any.
  • Governance, Risk, and Compliance - Runs local IS council and ensure joint governance with representatives from local BA/divisions and IS teams.
  • Ensures all employees in the local function understand safety and integrity standards and act accordingly.
  • Contributes to effective risk management and mitigation. Ensures IS compliance (including Cybersecurity, ITGC, IS data privacy, IS trade compliance...) requirements, policies and standards to be fulfilled in accordance with internal and external regulatory requirements, as per IS operating model.
  • Continuous Improvement and Performance Management - Continuously improves the local IS processes and ways of working based on consumer and employee feedback, surveys, CSI, process framework, business demands, defined RACIs
  • Partners with Local IS Division managers and business/function management to map business demands to existing or new IS solutions in the area of responsibility.
  • Ensures that IS performance for the country/cluster is regularly reported and reviewed.
  • Sets performance targets, and monitors progress against agreed quality and performance criteria.
  • Provides effective feedback, throughout the performance management cycle, to ensure optimum performance.
  • Actively manages IS spend, costs allocation and rolling forecast. Ensures financial accuracy and transparency to optimize controllable IS spend and ensures value added investments.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management - Manages relationships with stakeholders to capture demands, resolve issues, and manage expectations. Drives IS communications towards local end users (including for global IS communications, surveys, directives, and other global initiatives). Drives and supports effective change management to represent global IS organization and Business IS organizations to the local stakeholders/customers/consumers.
  • People Leadership - Manages individuals and teams according to the IS governance framework and organizational structure.
  • Define and develop local IS organization, as per strategic needs, to ensure appropriate responsibilities and continuous improvement.
  • Ensures (with HR manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
  • Proactively works to ensure effective working relationships within the team and with those whom the team interacts with.
  • Provides support and guidance as required, in line with individualsabilities.
  • Develop teams and individuals to support innovative work culture, for the benefit of both ABB and the employee.
  • Ensures all employees in the local IS organization understand safety and integrity standards and act accordingly.

Your background

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science (B.E), or similar with 5 to 10 years of experience in related field
  • Fluent in English and Arabic is required.
