Our client are an electrical contracting company, experiencing rapid growth with a diverse portfolio of Commercial, Industrial, and Residential projects across Ireland. Renowned for delivering high-quality solutions, they are committed to innovation, collaboration, and the professional development of their team.

As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team based in Tipperary.
The Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of large-scale electrical projects. Working closely with project managers and site teams, you will ensure cost efficiency, compliance, and the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.
  • Oversee subcontractor and supplier procurement, ensuring competitive pricing and quality services.
  • Prepare, monitor, and validate progress valuations, and manage variations and claims.
  • Provide accurate financial reports, including cost analysis, cash flow forecasting, and project updates.
  • Identify potential risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure financial risk control.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, manage disputes, and administer contract documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, design teams, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Support junior QS team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the company.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the electrical or M&E contracting sector.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, project costing, and contract management.
  • Proficient in financial reporting, cost control, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant building regulations and health & safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
