Electrical Engineer - Electrical Division
Our clients expanding team are now on the lookout for a Junior Electrical Engineer to work on the Rosslare Europort Project. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company who have a large pipeline of projects in the vicinity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive design reviews of drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure they meet relevant standards and industry guidelines.
- Develop alternative engineering solutions, including detailed calculations and sketches for client review and approval.
- Utilize engineering software tools such as Dialux, Relux, Amtech Pro Design, Navisworks, BIM 360, Procore, etc.
- Review coordinated construction drawings and related documentation.
- Collaborate with Project QS to prepare sub-contract and supplier tender packages.
- Prepare and oversee technical submittals for client approval.
- Coordinate with the quality team to review the BCAR preliminary inspection plan.
- Compile operation and maintenance manuals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certificate in Electrical Services Engineering.
- 1-2 years of experience in the electrical contracting sector.
- Proficiency in IT, especially with AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office (preferred but not essential).
- Strong time management and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Competent with computers.
- Familiarity with current electrical, fire alarm, and emergency lighting standards in Ireland.
