Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Director to oversee and drive their commercial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies, fostering key stakeholder relationships, leading sales and marketing efforts, and ensuring the achievement of revenue and profitability targets. This role requires a visionary leader with a proven track record in commercial management and business development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement the commercial strategy aligned with our client's overall business goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive dynamics to drive growth.
  • Set clear objectives and KPIs for the commercial team and ensure alignment with the clients strategic direction.

 

Sales and Business Development:

  • Lead and manage the sales team to achieve revenue targets and market share growth.
  • Identify and pursue new market segments, partnerships, and channels for business expansion.
  • Oversee the development of effective sales plans, promotional strategies, and pricing models.

 

Marketing and Brand Management:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns that enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all marketing channels and communications.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics to optimize campaigns and initiatives.

 

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty through effective service and support.
  • Gather customer feedback and insights to inform product development and service enhancements.

 

Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage the commercial budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze revenue and profit margins, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the CEO and executive team on commercial performance and forecasts.

 

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial team.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the department.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs for team members.

 

Qualifications:

  • Third-level qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial management, sales, or business development roles.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics, and financial management tools.
