Primary Objective
Under the guidance of the Regional Manager, the Branch Manager is responsible for managing daily branch operations. This position requires creating and executing a business plan to meet branch revenue, sales, and service targets.
Knowledge & Experience Required
- Prior management experience is crucial.
- Strong understanding of the hardwoods, softwoods, and sheet materials industry.
- Proven experience working with joinery manufacturers and specifiers.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- A degree in a commercial discipline is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the sales team to provide excellent customer service both in person and via phone.
- Basic understanding of accounting and computer operations.
- Work with sales representatives to set monthly growth targets and development goals.
- Assist the Regional Director in driving branch growth and maintaining service excellence.
- Stay informed about client and competitor products/services to maximize sales.
- Enhance branch performance across key metrics.
- Perform customer service tasks as needed to manage branch operations efficiently.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through performance coaching and leadership.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised store environment.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and controls.
- Manage branch administration effectively.
